Daddy woke me up at 6:30 to iron his clothes for a prayer breakfast

Then went to Conway Farm and Home to buy Daddy some Muck boots
Came home and you rode your 4 wheeler
Daddy hauled off a dead chicken and killed a cat
We walked to Grandma Teen's and took her some meatball and pear perserves
Came home, you and Daddy took a nap while Momma went and met "Mckmama"
Learned about Xygular
Went and bought groceries at Wal-Mart
Unloaded groceries then we all went fishing with the family
Came back to Mawmaw and Papa's house
Ate some ugly looking but great tasting deer sausage
I went to Kim's and picked up your yardsale clothes she had bought
You bit Samuel, I spanked you
You hugged him and said you were sorry
We came home
I cooked mexican chicken for Sunday's lunch
Did laundry
We all bathed and now.....

I'm pooped!!!

Love you,
Momma

Your 1st Prayer

Dear Addilyn,  You are 3 years and 4 months old.  I always say the prayer with you when we are going to sleep.  Last night, I asked if you could say the prayer and you did.  Ahhh, it was so sweet.  I'm smiling now just typing this.  You said "thank you for church" and many other things.  How sweet!!  You are growing up so fast and it just amazes me at what all you know and understand.  When you were a baby, I would have to walk in circles around the house bouncing you for hours to get you to sleep.  Now, we just gather your pink blankie, green blankie, blue blankie, and other pink blankie and go lay down to tell stories and pray.  Sometimes we have to have your cat, elephant, penguin, baby dog, and duck in the bed too...but thats ok.  I love you baby girl!!       - Momma

(PS. On a sad note- We have lost 2 chickens and our rooster "Ryan Mallet" recently...thanks to the neighbor's dogs and a raccoon)

A Nickel Short

Dear Addilyn, There may come a time in your life when your BMI is considered in the "obese" range and you find yourself bringing a little Lean Cuisine to work for lunch.  I hope this doesn't happen, but I'm just saying.....  You eat it at 10:45am because you're starving and even look up the Weight Watchers points and feel good that you're only consuming 5 points.  But then 2:00pm comes and once again you're tummy is growling.  You know the lunch lady down the hall has already packed it up for the day so you rummage through your purse trying to find change for the vending machine.  You find .55 cents.  You look through every desk drawer in search of more change.  You know you're close....the price of crackers like everything else has gone up except for your paycheck.  Anyways, you take a deep breath and make the long walk down the hall which counts as exercise and only makes you hungrier...your eyes look the vending machine up and down until you spot the cheese crackers with peanut butter filling.  And then, at the moment, you see the price......60 cents.  DANG IT !!!!!!  There is nothing you can do at this point.  You've got 3 hours left of work...3 hungry hours.  But it's gonna be okay.  Hold your head up and walk back to your desk.  Sometimes in life you're gonna be a nickel short.      Love you, Momma

New Years Day Flu

Dear Addilyn,
You and Daddy both had to go back to Primecare on Tuesday, New Years Day.  Apparently, when we were there on Saturday you guys caught the Flu.  Daddy went that morning, tested postive, and then went to stay in Greenbrier away from us.  You took a nap and woke up burning up with fever (again) so I called Aunt Kimmy and her and Alli came over and we all took you to the doctor.  You tested positive, Momma wanted to cry, Daddy came home, and there we sat for 3 days.  Today I'm at work and you and Daddy are at home.  You've not even played with your Christmas toys yet.  Sigh.  I need some help keeping you well.  Monday school starts back and I'm already nervous about what else you will catch.  I love you kiddo.  I hate that you've been so sick.  Maybe we should move to Arizona.    - Momma

Peeing On Daddy

Dear Addilyn,  For the record because I know you'll enjoy reading this one day.....
Yesterday morning Daddy was rocking you.  All of the sudden he said "Addilyn, did you pee on me?" And you said in your sweet little voice "Yes".  Daddy had to go take a shower.  Good times.....

We had a White Christmas....I took lots of pictures that I will hopefully get uploaded soon.  You received many gifts from everyone....a pink dune buggy, a four wheeler, a tent, princess book, a new coat, a Lalaloopsy mermaid doll, a back pack, princess lunch box, a Dora the Explorer car, and $20 and other stuff I'm probably forgetting.  Our electricity went out Christmas night so we had to stay with Papa and Mawmaw for a few days.  Friday night Samuel spent the night with us and you woke up burning up with fever.  Made two trips out to Primecare to find out you have a double ear infection AND the nurse thinks your tonsils are growing back.  Great.  Anyways.....long story short...with the electricity going out and us not having any heat your Daddy and began making plans to build a house with a wood stove!!  That night when you were so sick I realized that my plans aren't God's plans....and I need to wait on God.  What if I need to quit work to stay home with you?  I could do that now (even though you love school) but if we built a house I couldn't.  So, my goal for 2013 is to be thankful for what we have, content, and appreciative.  My desire is for us one day to have a house, but until God makes a way, I won't push it.  Last night we had testimony service at church and I was reminded to just wait on God's timing.  Toni and Erin sang "Did I Mention".  The song says "when there seems to be no way, He made a way".  God will make a way....I'm going to start praying diligently for God's will in our lives.  Momma has to do some work....love you!  - Momma

God is Faithful

Dear Addilyn,
I want to record this.....Last Sunday morning your Daddy told me he had some money for the "Christmas Family".  In our Sunday School class we take up money every year and then give it to a family in need.  Your Daddy told me that morning that he had $20 to give.  He wore a shirt that he had not wore since last year and later in the day, after giving his $20, he found another $20 in his shirt pocket.  Makes me smile.  You can never out give God!!!!  I hope we can teach you that as you grow up.

                                                                  I love you!!!

P.S.  Wednesday morning you peed on me in the bed.....I want to record that too!  ha!
